Nestled right next to the shopping street of Thamel, KC’s Restaurant and Bar is situated close to Mandal Street. Established in 1776, it is one of the oldest bars in Thamel. With a bakery on the ground floor, a restaurant on the first floor and an indoor and balcony bar, KC’s is a spacious yet cosy place to enjoy the company of friends and family.

Unlike the chicken sizzler in other places, KC’s Sizzler was much larger in size. Served in a large platter, the dish had a good amount for two people to share. The Chicken was perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were also very buttery and flavourful. Although the noodles were a little bland and could be seasoned and cooked in a better way, it went well with the overpowering taste of the chicken and sauce.

KC’s Chicken Sandeko is the customers’ favourite. With shredded onions and diced chillies, the chicken pieces juicy and amazingly seasoned with Nepali spices. Perfect for the Nepali taste buds, it’s not too hot and spicy; so, it is suitable for foreigners as well.

This dish is a perfect plate with pan roasted chicken and grilled fish served with vegetables and potatoes. With the same vegetables and sauce as the sizzler, the best part about this dish was the boneless fish. The fish and chicken combination were amazing with the sauce.
