Hundreds donate blood for 25th anniversary


More than 120 donors donated blood to the Red Cross Society and Blood Transfusion Service and many people received free health check-up during Blood Donation and Cardiac Health Check-up program organized by Thai Airways International Public Co. Ltd. on July 31 at Hotel Annapurna, Kathmandu.

The program was organized as the yearly CSR initiative of Thai, the airways that are celebrating the 50th anniversary of its service in Nepal. Chief Guest His Excellency Bhakavat Tanskul, Thai Ambassador to Nepal and team of Royal Thai Embassy Nepal participated in the program. The program also saw the participation of Miss Nepal 2018 title holders.

The free cardio check-up, blood sugar test, ECG and ECO screening was provided in association Shahid Gangalal National Health Centre, Kathmandu, which was provided by the medical team led by Dr. Arun Maskey, the senior consultant cardiologist of the hospital. 

Travel Agents, walking clients, well-wishers, along with Thai Airways family, were among the participants and donors.
