World Music Day and Summer Solstice at BAC Art Cafe

Weird Events Ltd organised their very first SOL sessions on June 21, to celebrate ‘World Music Day’ and ‘Summer Solstice’ at Black Art Café, Pulchowk, Lalitpur. SOL Sessions is a platform and a series that brings independent artists and musicians together to network and collaborate with each other and promotes their work to a larger audience.

“Nepal’s creative platform hasn’t groomed well enough. When we go to music events and see a lot of talented artists performing we assume their work gets noticed. However, this is not the case. So, we decided to build a platform for them. SOL Sessions is a platform to help artists push their limitations to achieve greatness in their field,” said CEO Nischal Khadka and Arisha Maharjan.

With Art Lab’s 4 artist demonstrating live art and a room filled with the best artworks, one of the artist at the event Rog (Arin Shrestha) commented “In Nepal, a creative field is always filled with complications. And getting this platform to support and present to the audience is a great influence and inspiration to many people in creative field.”
